Never Compare Yourself to Others: The Importance of Working Together as Christians

Are you guilty of thinking about other people who seem to have a "better" job or a "better" life than you and wishing you were like them? If so, then what makes you believe that the things that this person have are "better"? The reality is that every one of God's children already has something uniquely, destined for them that is FOR THEM. This is also called the Christian's Mission or Purpose and each calling of God's children will not be better than the other. And regardless of if you were called to be a stay-at-home parent or the President, each Calling has a significant importance in God's perspective. You may not always understand why something is so insignificant to you, but may be of great importance to God. Therefore, we should not question God because He says that all things work together for the Purpose of the good who love Him.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
For example - think about how the human body functions. The body has a brain that initiates the movement of all of the body's limbs. Without the brain and the legs working together, the body cannot walk! This is the same thing as being one of God's children and being called to work in the Body of Christ - one part of the body is incomplete without the other. Therefore, one part of the body will never be better than the other - they are both better together!

So Christians - let's come together and not compare or judge each other. Your Purpose may not always be easy, but it should naturally be fulfilling and meaningful to you while it reaps blessings into your life and others as well as be pleasing to God. Therefore it is GREAT!

This is also known as true happiness.

Your Body is a Temple - Keep it Holy!

What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19
So what does it mean to keep your body holy? The main meaning of keeping your body holy is refraining from fornication, but what are other things that we can do to keep our body holy? What about monitoring the things that we put into our bodies? Like the amount and kinds of food that we eat? Or refraining from drugs?

The Christian body is a holy temple and in the Christian temple resides the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is a sin and an abomination to God to participate in lustful, fornicating pleasures which invites the Spirit of Lust into our bodies or to eat unhealthily (e.g. Gluttony) or to put anything into our bodies that will harm us since anything that harms us is not of God.

When Yeshua was crucified on the cross, He paid the penalty for the sins of the world. Therefore, our bodies were bought at a price.
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:20
So what are you feeding your body? What you feed your body is what you will become. So are you feeding your temple the pleasures of the world which is the Spirits of Darkness, or are you feeding your body the Holy Spirit which is the light of the body that drives out the darkness?
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:5
