Never Compare Yourself to Others: The Importance of Working Together as Christians

Are you guilty of thinking about other people who seem to have a "better" job or a "better" life than you and wishing you were like them? If so, then what makes you believe that the things that this person have are "better"? The reality is that every one of God's children already has something uniquely, destined for them that is FOR THEM. This is also called the Christian's Mission or Purpose and each calling of God's children will not be better than the other. And regardless of if you were called to be a stay-at-home parent or the President, each Calling has a significant importance in God's perspective. You may not always understand why something is so insignificant to you, but may be of great importance to God. Therefore, we should not question God because He says that all things work together for the Purpose of the good who love Him.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

For example - think about how the human body functions. The body has a brain that initiates the movement of all of the body's limbs. Without the brain and the legs working together, the body cannot walk! This is the same thing as being one of God's children and being called to work in the Body of Christ - one part of the body is incomplete without the other. Therefore, one part of the body will never be better than the other - they are both better together!

So Christians - let's come together and not compare or judge each other. Your Purpose may not always be easy, but it should naturally be fulfilling and meaningful to you while it reaps blessings into your life and others as well as be pleasing to God. Therefore it is GREAT!
